Dogs Guinness World Records There are many different categories of Guinness World Records related to dogs, including records for the tallest dog, the smallest dog, the oldest dog, and the fastest dog, among others. Some examples include: Tallest Dog according to Guinness World Records, the tallest living dog is a  Great Dane  named Zeus, who measured 44 inches (111.8 cm) tall at the shoulder. Shetland Sheepdog The Shetland Sheepdog, often known as the Sheltie, is a breed of herding dog that originated in the Shetland Islands of Scotland. The original name was Shetland Collie, but this caused controversy amongst Rough Collie breeders of the time, so the breed's name was formally changed.
